Our Story

La Luna Hive was founded by Brittney McCormick, artist MissHappyPink, and her husband Justin Kamerer, artist Angryblue, who collaborated in helping bring the brand to life. The concept started to take root in early 2021 where it lay dormant until it was ready to bloom in the spring of 2024.

Brittney calls Justin Bug and he calls her Bee, together they created the Lunabee. It is their symbol of hope, love, and perseverance; all necessary when navigating difficult situations. La Luna Hive is a meditation on exploring life while accepting the inevitability of death, a meditation on mortality through art.

Over time they plan on bringing more artists into the hive to create limited-edition mementos and discuss how exploring life and accepting the inevitability of death influence the artists’ work.
